H&M Hennes & Mauritz AB is a Swedish fashion company and retail clothing company founded in 1947 in Västerås, Sweden. The company provides “fast-fashion” clothing for women, teenagers, men, and children, and operates in 62 countries. H&M operates over 4,000 stores.

In November 20014 H&M partnered with Karl Lagerfeld to offer an exclusive collection at select stores. In 2005, H&M partnered with Stella McCartney, and also in 2006 they partnered with Viktor & Rolf.

In 2007, H&M partnered with Madonna, and in the same year worked with Maxis to create a pack for The Sims 2.

Also in 2007, H&M partnered with Roberto Cavalli, and also with Kylie Minogue. In Spring 2008, H&M teamed up with Marimekko, and soon after partnered with Comme des Garçons.

In 2009, H&M worked with Matthew Williamson to create to special collections. In the same year, H&M partnered with Jimmy Choo for a collection of shoes, handbags, and leather and suede fashions.

H&M collaborated with Lanvin, and the next year worked fashion blogger Elin Kling on an exclusive collection.

2011 brought about a partnership with Versace, along with a collaboration with Marni.

In 2012, H&M worked with Japanese Vogue editor Anna Dello Russo on an accessories collection. In the same year, they announced a partnership with Maison Martin Margiela.

Alexander Wang was the selected partner for 2014, and was the company’s first collaboration with an American designers.

In 2015, Balmain was selected as H&M featured designer, and the next year H&M announced it is working with Kenzo.

The H&M overall brand also maintains the brands: Monki, Weekday, Cheap Monday, COS, & Other Stories.
