Patricia Velásquez – The First Latina Supermodel


Patricia Velásquez was born January 31, 1971 in Maracaibo, Venezuela. In 1989, Velásquez entered the Miss Venezuela contest and finished 7th overall. After three years of college, she moved to Milan to pursue modeling.

She began to study acting in New York City in 1997, and a year later was also modeling for major designers.

Her runway work has included designers: Antonio Berardi, Bella Freud, Corinne Cobson, Claude Montana, and Dolce & Gabbana.

Patricia Velásquez’s campaign work has included: Chanel‘s Allure, Roberto Verino’s Verino fragrance, L’Oréal , as well as Victoria’s Secret.
